My Story
My name is Emily Sanudo and I am a current senior in high school in Miami, Florida. I am Vice Chair of the Junior Advisory Board (JAB) for Joshua’s Heart Foundation. Being a JAB member, I am able to participate at the different events and see the families that we are assisting. I came up with Pieces 4 Hope because I wanted to further support Joshua's Heart mission by making a difference in our world. I have realized that I need to be grateful for the things I am gifted with everyday. I have had many upbringing experiences with this foundation and I have realized that not everyone is the same. Everyone is confronted with different obstacles in life and deal with them in different ways. I believe that we should all go out and help those who need our help. Service is so important to me that this past summer I had the amazing opportunity to go to the Dominican Republic on a mission trip. On this trip, I got to experience the value of true happiness and the quality of life firsthand for 9 unforgettable days.

About
My project is called Pieces 4 Hope. I created, in collaboration with Taudrey handmade jewelry, a necklace to represent Joshua’s Heart. The necklace is made by hand and features very high quality, 18 karat gold filled materials. The necklace comes in silver, gold, and rose gold. Also, there is a choice of personalization with no extra charge. The cost is $30 of which $11 per necklace sold will go to Joshua's Heart.
